PCMA releases 25th Annual Meetings Market Survey results

An optimistic Meetings Market Survey is joined by the all-new Convene podcast

PCMA has had a busy month — releasing its 25th annual Meetings Market Survey and debuting a new podcast.

The 2016 Meetings Market Survey — based on a comprehensive survey of nearly 450 meeting professionals about event size, budgets, and much more — offers solidly positive results from events conducted in 2015 and an optimistic outlook for meetings and conventions in the coming year. Key findings include a 5.3 per cent increase in attendance and a 2.7 per cent increase in exhibitors in 2015 over 2014, as well as projected increases of 3.3 per cent for attendance and 2.3 for exhibitors in 2016. Read the full results of the Meetings Market Survey here.

And, in an industry first, Convene’s Meetings Market Survey data will now be accessible via an interactive dashboard on pcmaconvene.org, thanks to a partnership with Bear Analytics. The dashboard will enable users to view six years of survey data through a variety of lenses: revenue, size, attendance, and more.

Last month saw the debut of a completely revamped Convene Podcast, hosted by award-winning journalist and podcaster Ashley Milne-Tyte. The first in this series is a conversation about mindfulness and meetings — with a focus on practical takeaways — with Janet Sperstad, CMP, an expert on the neuroscience of business leadership and event design.
