Air Canada expands its seatback entertainment content to offer customers twice as many in-flight movies and more TV shows
Air Canada recently expanded the selection on its In-flight Entertainment System to offer customers twice as many movies to choose from than before. The enriched personalized seatback system will give each customer free access to a menu of up to 150 movies designed to suit every taste, ranging from the latest Hollywood blockbuster to classic art house and international films.

Business travel is picking up, says Hotel Association of Canada Survey
Latest results from the 2012 HAC Canadian Travel Intentions Survey show that business travel is projected to be up four per cent in 2012, while leisure travel is expected to be static. Eighty per cent of business travellers said they would be doing more or the same amount of business travel in Canada in 2012 as they did in 2011 with the highest percentage coming from Ontario and Quebec. Eighty-two per cent of leisure travellers said they will be travelling more or the same for vacation this year.

Business travel boosts Toronto's hotel sales record
Business travel and in particular, convention and meetings bookings continue to provide solid, long-term business for the region. In July 2011, Toronto won one of the most prestigious and sought-after meetings in the world as Microsoft chose the city for its 2012 Worldwide Partner Conference. More than 15,000 people are expected to attend, representing technology companies in 130 countries. Over 500 events take place during the conference and at least 30 hotels across the Toronto region will host delegates.

Visitors from Canada were greeted with a warm USVI welcome on Christmas Eve when the inaugural Air Canada flight from Toronto touched down in St. Thomas. The sold-out flight was the first of new weekly Air Canada service that will increase visitor arrivals from the Territory’s second largest international market.
